Army distributes computers, sports kits | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Sep 6: As a part of the Army vision to develop the education standards of children studying in remote border villages,the MAHAR PVC Battalion of Tithwal Brigade distributed large quantity of stationery items, computers, winter clothing and sports kits to poor and needy children at a function organised at Government Middle School Bisali, District Rajouri. The distribution programme was part of ‘Operation Sadhabavana’ and was combined with celebration of Eid and Teacher’s Day. A host of local population from under developed remote villages of Rajouri district enthusiastically witnessed the event. Several prominent local personalities including Mushir Hussain, Zonal Education Officer, Sadiq Hussian, Sarpanch Jhallas, Sarpraz Khan Sarpanch, Thatiyali, Yashpal Sharma, Sarpanch, Sasalkot were present for the event. After the distribution ceremony, the Commanding Officer and Principal of all schools interacted with the people and motivated them to work hard for the bright future for their kids in this competitive world. Sadiq, 14 years old said “He always dreamt of operating computers. Now his dream has come true”. The need to organise more such events was also projected by the elders and parents.
