HC orders status quo on govt flat alloted to additional DC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 06: High court judge, Justice Hasnain Massodi today ordered to maintain
status quo with regard to flat No 106 at Talab Tillo, which was at present in possession
of additional deputy commissioner, Ramban, Bashir Ahmad Khan. The court directive came in a writ petition filed by Khan, challenging director estate's
July 1, 2011, according to which the government intended to allot flat No 106 at Talab
Tillo, which was at present in the possession of the petitioner and his family, to a
private respondent. According to the petitioner, the flat was to remain with him till ending October, 2011, as
per the government order. As director estate did not cancel this order, he issued an
impugned order which needed to be quashed, the petitioner prayed. Justice Massodi, after hearing the counsel for the petitioner, issued notice to the state
through commissioner/secretary, estate, director estate and others returnable within
two weeks. In the meanwhile, he ordered to maintain status quo with regard to the flat till next
date of hearing.
