UDHAMPUR, Sept 06: Eleven gamblers were Tuesday evening apprehended by police here along with a cash of Rs 13,564.
A police officer said acting on a tip-off, cops apprehended 11 gamblers last evening in the town. An amount of Rs 13,564 was recovered from them, he added.
The accused were identified as Koshal Gupta, son of Parma Nand ward No 16, Talab Salian, Rajinder, son of Bali Ram of Kallar, Balbir Singh, son of Bodh Raj of Lambi Gali, Vimal, son of Ishar Lal Gupta of ward No 13, Lambi Gali, Romesh Chander, son of Hari Ram of Karla Dhar Road, Sanjay Kumar Sehgal, son of Surinder Sehgal of Bus Stand, Sanjay Kumar, son of Tara Chand of Dhar Road, Ashok Kumar, son of Krishan Chand of Sangoor, Yashpaul, son of Mangu Ram of Sangoor, Bansi Lal Sharma, son of Kirpa Ram of Sangoor and Sanjay Kumar, son of Tara Chand of Pakhlai.
A case was registered against them under gambling act.
