Mufti not satisfied with Mughal Road progress | | | Surankote : Taking a dig at the government, former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has said that government is not completing the work on Mughal Road even though the road was on the priority of his government a few years ago. Talking to media persons after entering Poonch via Mughal Road, Mufti said that he is not satisfied over the work being carried out on Mughal Road. He said that the road was on priority list of his government but now the present government is not taking any interest in it. He added that Mughal Road construction is being delayed which is creating loss to the people of this region. On his arrival for the first time via Mughal Road, Mufti was given warm welcome by PDP leaders and locals at Peer Ki Gali. The people appreciated Mufti's efforts in starting the Mughal Road work. They alleged that present state government has completely failed to construct this road on its target date of 2009. They added that there is 2 years delay and the road is likely to be opened after 5 years delay which speaks itself about the sincerity of government towards the road. The residents complained Mufti that construction works is sub standard and local labours have been ignored in works. Meanwhile Mufti approached towards Thanamandi where he will stay for night at Shadara Sharief. |
