JKPDTU to hold demonstrations on Sept 9, 10 | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 7: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Trade Union (JKPDTU) has decided to hold demonstrations on September 9 and 10 against the delay of government in redressing demands of employees of estates department. Addressing a press conference here today, Bawa President expressed anguish and dismay over the fact that despite peaceful one day protest demonstration, authorities have neither taken any step to solve the problems nor any initiative to talk to the association. Bawa explained that association believes in table talks but this attitude of the association has been construed by department as weakness of the Union which is not so. They said that authorities at the helm of affair are hell bent that the employees should come on the roads. He appealed Chief Minister for intervention so that genuine demands are considered at the earliest. Union reserves the right to further intensify the agitation in case department does not take action on their charter immediately and the entire responsibility for the same shall be of the department.
