| Hakeem orders suspension of absentees in SRTC workshop | | |
Jammu, Dec 4
Minister for Transport Hakeem Mohammad Yasin today paid surprise visit to the SRTC Central Workshop and Passenger Maintenance Division (PMD) located near Bikram Chowk. He checked the attendance registers of the employees of various wings and found 17 employees absent from duty.
The Minister ordered immediate suspension of the absentees which include Works Manager Mr. Sudesh Kumar. He inspected various branches of the workshop as well as PMD and took stock of the functioning of both the wings.
Speaking to the employees on the occasion the Minister stressed for maintaining punctuality and rendering disciplined service for further strengthening of the corporation.
He directed concerned authorities to monitor the punctuality and regularity of the employees working in different wings of the corporation adding that the government is committed to provide better transport facilities to the people of the state and to make the SRTC a profitable organization. He sought detailed reports from the authorities about the purchases made for spare parts during last one year.
The Minister was accompanied by the senior officers of the Corporation. |
