Ex-corporator's son turns hooligan, gets thrashing from DySP traffic | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 7: Ranveer Singh son of ex-Corporator Rajinder Singh of Digiana was allegedly thrashed by Deputy Superintendent of Traffic Police in full public view. The incident took place on Gulshan Ground road when, Ranveer was on the run after breaking the traffic nakas at Bikram Chowk and Asia hotel respectively. He was later handed over to the Gandhi Nagar police for legal action. According to eye-witnesses, incident took place at about 2 pm when Ranveer was noticed by traffic police plying his vehicle on wrong side from Jammu University to Bikram Chowk. He was given halt signal by traffic cops at Bikram Chowk but he sped away leaving a passerby badly injured. Traffic cops at various nakas were alerted and when cops signaled him for stopping the vehicle at Asia Morh but here again, he gave a slip to cops and turned his vehicle towards Gandhi Nagar. In the incident, traffic cops had a close shave. Police team led by DySP traffic Mandeep Kour chased him and finally intercepted him near Gulshan Ground, from where he was handed over to the police. DySP Mandeep when contacted informed that the youth was under the influence of liquor and made several bids to run over the traffic cops. Gandhi Nagar police arrested the youth after registering the case in this connection. |
