Poonch, Sep 8: MLA Poonch Ajaz Jan and senior party workers of National Conference on Thursday offered prayers and paid tributes to party founder Shiekh Mohammad Abdullah on his 29th death anniversary
Jan said Shiekh died on September 8, 1982, while holding the chair of the Chief Minister. Jan described Sheikh Abdullah as a towering and visionary leader who nurtured a dream of peace, progress and prosperity in all parts of Jammu & Kashmir.
Jan referred to the crucial land reforms pioneered by Sheikh Abdullah, which laid the foundation of equitable development of the State.
Among those who paid tributes were distt. president Qazi Mohd Sayeed Beig and all the block president, Harchran Singh Khalsa, Peer Anayat, Ch Gani, Bag Hussain Rathore, Ab Ahad Bhatt, Abdul Ahad Kamrate,Gh.
