Model Rocketry Workshop held by NCURDS | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Sep 8: National Council for Urban & Rural Development Society (NCURDS), Jammu organized three days Model Rocketry Workshop for students & teachers in the complex of Parshant Public High School, Nagrota, Udhampur. The Workshop was inaugurated by Vaid Prakash Sharma, District Planning education Officer, Udhampur today as Chief Guest and the guest of honour was T.Sering Thong Shong, Zonal Education Officer, Udhampur. While inaugurating the workshop, both the chief guest and guest of honour gave their own views of science temperament and brief lecture about the scientific system of Rocket and the science behind it, process of manufacturing, science behind launching of rocket in the sky. The youths and participants admired the knowledge provided by the chief guest and scientist from Deptt. of Science & technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The Chief Guest also appreciated the role of NCURDS for organizing such scientific programme and also requested to organize such programmes in future for the interest of students/teachers community of the state. Zaffar Ullah Khan founder secretary general, NCURDS welcome the participants and told them about the workshop and also told them about such more knowledgeable programmes in future. The main objectives of the workshop was to educate the young generation about the manufacture and system of rocket and how the rocket is launched in the sky and science behind the rocket, its launching and purposeful uses. The workshop was catalyzed and supported by NCSTC (RVPSP), Deptt. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The programme was attending by 92 participants (teachers/students) both from Govt. and private institution. The participants who spoke on the subject matter in the workshop include Anil Prajapat and Mohammad Farooq both from Rajasthan & Surjeet Singh from Jammu.
