Pensioner association Doda seeks redressel of demands | | | Early Times Report DODA, Sept 8: Pensioners Association Doda (PAD) today reiterated demands of pensioners and sought their early redressel. In a handout issued here today, PDA has said that a meeting was held at D.C. Office Doda under the Chairmanship of its President Akther Hussain Gattu. The meeting was attended by large number of Pensioners. They reiterated demands for release of 6th pay commission areas in one instalment. Enhancement of medical allowance to the tune of Rs 100 per month, revision of arrears and payment of the same in one instalment and payment of pending revised pension to the Pensioners. J&K Bank has not made the payment of sixth pay panel arrears which were due in the month of April 2011 till date. Pensioners shouted slogans against J&K Bank main branch Doda. They also demanded commutation pension be recovered with in twelve years instead of fifteen years, enhancement of Pension benefit in favour of the pensioners those who have completed the age of 80, 85, 90, 95 and 100, years to the tune of 20, 30, 40, 50, and 100 percent on the pattern of central government. The meeting was addressed by Shakeel Ahmed Dev, Munshi Ram, Bhagat Him Raj, Ghulam Hassan Pampori, Akther Hussain Nehru, Gian Chand, Thakur Amarnath, Abdul Rehman Wani, Romal Singh, D.S. Charak and others.
