Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Sept 8: Udhampur advocates today suspended work in Udhampur courts, in response to a call by the state bar council to protest against terrorist attack at the Delhi High Court.
Advocates gathered in the district court premises and condoled death of 11 people in the bomb blast that ripped through the counter of Delhi High Court. President Bar Association Udhampur Rajesh Gupta and Secretary Lohit Sharma described the incident as direct attack on justice dispensation mechanism in the country.
Advocate Rahul Jandial said that public is facing consistent threat to their lives from terrorists and attempts were being made to grant pardon to those who have been found guilty of such acts of terrorism by a long process of judicial scrutiny. Demanding those responsible for the terror attack be brought to justice, advocates asked the state government to beef up security and maintain strict vigil in all courts.
