| One day assessment camp for CWSN held | | |

Ramban:-A one day assessment camp for the Children With Special Needs (CWSN) or Physically Disabled Children was organized by the Chief Education Officer, Ramban in collaboration with the District Institute Of Education and Trainings (DIET),Ramban under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) at Government Middle School, Batote today. The camp was inaugurated by the Chief Education Officer,(CEO)Ramban, Vinod Soni and organised under the supervision of Principal,DIET, Bahadur Singh . During the camp 378 students from different schools of Batote education zone were diagnosed by a team of doctors consisting of Ophthalmologist,Dr.Roshan Din of district hospital,Ramban, Surgeon ,Dr.Ranjeet Singh Rathore of SKME, hospital, Batote and Orthopaedician, Dr.Rafi Ahmed of Doda and their assisting staff .
On the occasion the District Coordinator,Special Focus Group of CWSN component of SSA, Nazir Ahmed Ittoo underlined the need of the guided assessment of CWSN in the present scenario for inclusive educational equipments. He gave a detailed account of the various types of disabilities of CWSN and facilities provided to them by the government under SSA.

Principal DIET, Bahadur Singh stressed on the need of the collective efforts of all concerned officers and parents for making the programme successful.
Others who spoke on the occasion included District Coordinator (Gender),SSA,, ZEO,Batote, Vijay Gupta,Ex-Chairman, Municipal Committee, Batote,Ravinder Singh, Master Gurmeet Singh and educationist Janak Singh. The function was moderated by Master Kanwerinder Singh and the vote of thanks was presented by District Coordinator (Pedagogy),Javed Ahmed Wani. All students were also served with lunch.
