| District wrestling championship held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 08: Organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Wrestling Association, the one-day Jammu District Championship held at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
About 80 wrestlers in eight different weight categories contested for the top honours in this day-long championship under the supervision of chief referee, Mulkh Raj Sharma.
The competition held in weight groups of 50 kg, 55 kg, 60 kg, 66 kg, 74 kg, 84 kg, 96 kg and upto 120 kg.
The event was also organised to select the state team for forthcoming senior national wrestling championship to be held in Uttar Pradesh from October 13 to October 16.
