| DC Jammu inspects dev works in R. S. Pura | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 08- Deputy Commissioner Jammu Mr. Sanjeev Verma today conducted an extensive tour of R. S. Pura and adjoining areas to inspect the ongoing development works being executed in the area.
SDM R. S. Pura, ACD Jammu, XEN PWD, BDO and other senior officers of various departments accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
During his tour, the Deputy Commissioner visited Chokri, Keer Pind, Baspur , Aknala, Bana Singh Stadium, Revenue Complex R. S. Pura, Sub Centres at Nikobal under BADP and inspected the progress of various major and minor development works.
Mr. Verma directed the concerned officers to work with greater zeal and dedication so that the ongoing development works being undertaken taken in the area should be completed within stipulated period. He asked the officers to visit the sites of the development works on regular basis to make sure that these works are being done with better quality and quantity as well. He also inspected upgradation works of lanes and drains in various villages besides taking stock of Kullian to Keer Pind road construction.
On finding the sub standard work in Chokri Niabat, the Deputy Commissioner directed for immediate enquiry and constituted team comprising SDM R. S. Pura, ACD and XEN PWD and asked them to submit the report within next 15 days.
At Aknalla, he directed the concerned officers to start plantation drive across the Aknalla besides asking Revenue officers to conducts regular crop pre harvesting inspections.
Enrout, various deputations met the Deputy Commissioner and apprised him of their grievances and demands which mainly included un-interrupted power supply, construction of lanes and drains, upgradation of link roads, etc.
The Deputy Commissioner assured for early redressal of their genuine demands and problems.
