Parents of the students GHPS irk over the fee hike in midsession

JAMMU, September 8: Guru Harkishan Public School Parents’ Association today handed over a memorandum to the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Natha Ram, demanding action against the school authorities for their decision of mid-session fee hike.
A delegation of 20 members this afternoon went to the education department’s office and apprised them about the “illegal” decision of school authorities.
Som Nath, a member of the Association and father of a class 7 student said that they had earlier requested the school authorities to rollback the decision, but after their (school) refusal, they went to the higher ups to raise the voice.
Giving details about their demand, Som Nath said, “The school authorities have hiked almost 30 per cent fee in the mid-session, which is illegal and we have shown the receipts to the CEO, who has assured us of immediate action in this regard.”
He further said that they had earlier gone to meet the school Principal this morning, but when he refused to meet, we went to the education department’s office.
Guru Harkishan Public School Parents’ Association member handed over a memorandum to the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Natha Ram in Jammu.
In the memorandum the parents have alleged that the management of the school without intimation and consent has enhanced the school fee during mid-session with effect from August 1.
Even in the memorandum, the parents have alleged that fee has been increased without adopting proper norms and said that in the present case managing is not listening our genuine request.
Even the parents requested the District head of the Education Department of Jammu, to kindly look into the matter accordingly and take appropriate action in the interest of students fraternity and parents at large.
