| SAD demands reservation of 4 assmbly seats for Sikhs, settlement of POK refugees. | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER
JAMMU | JULY
Vice President Gurudwara Kalgidhar, Rehari ,Sardar Gajan Singh has demanded reservation of three Assembly seats for the Sikh Community from Jammu ad one from Kashmir, induction in Cabinet constitution of minority commission, Reservation in profession colleges and extensions of recruitment quota for Sikh Community in Army and Police . The memorandum also demanded permanent settlement of POK refugees.
A resolution to this effect was passed with voice vote by the Sangat at a function organized to celebrate the ‘Parkash Utsav’ of 8th Guru Shri Harkrishan Sahib here today.
The function was organized by Sikh Naujawan Seva Sabha in Collaboration with Gurudwara Kalgidhar Prabhandak Committee.
Rminent ragies f Khalsa Panth including Baldev Singh and Gurdev Singh of Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, Joginder Singh of Canada, Subjeet Singh of Patna Sahib Walla and Kulbir Singh of Dhamdami Texa, Amritsar recited Gurbani.
Sant Charan Jit Singh, Rajinder Singh and Jagdev Singh President, State Akali Dal highlighted the teachings of Gurudev Singh.
Jagdev Singh appealed Sikh Sangat to form a committee for the celebration of 300th year of Guru Granth Sahib, scheduled to be held in 2008 at Hazur Sahib, Namded. He said about 25 lakh devotees are expected to participate in the celebration.
