He took history and zoology as optional and went to fall in love with these two. He could not make it in 2009, but that thing never irked him inside. He went on to work even harder and finally he made it at the time as he is studying as a regular student of Kashmir university (zoology) dept. He studied 8 hours daily and during the whole course of preparation, some times he got frustrated, but he went on to shake his nerves by reciting quran. It is definitely true that luck also plays a part as he realized it in his interviews says Abid Rashid Mir. The success of Abid Rashid is an example for many aspirants who lose their enthusiasm after failing once. His success has made the entire district proud especially Beigh family, said his uncle Abdul Gani Beigh.
