Justice to all forms benchmark of coalition government : Sham

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 08 – Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Mr. Sham Lal Sharma today said that justice to all is the standard of Coalition Government and every action in the process of development was being based on the principle of social, political and economic justice.
This was stated by the Minister at a joint meeting of officers and public representatives (Sarpnachs and Panchs) convened to take monthly review of pace of progress on various developmental works in his home constituency Akhnoor.
He said that Government is keen to reach out to people in every area, address their grievances and accommodate their demands under a phased manner to ensure holistic and integrated development of every region of the state. He said panchayat would prove an important tool in this regard. “Panchayat would determine the schemes, formulate plans and execute works as per the requirements of the areas under their jurisdiction”, he added.
He asked the officers to put in their sincere efforts to implement various development schemes in letter and spirit to meet the aspirations of the people. He said that government was keen to extend every basic facility to the people of rural and remote area and bring these at par with the cities. He said massive development activities have been launched across the state to make provisions for safe drinking water, regular power supply, road connectivity, healthcare, education and other facilities. He asked the concerned offices to use funds judiciously and complete the ongoing development works in stipulated time frame.
He asked the local administration as well as Panchayat members to visit the flood affected areas of Akhnoor tehsil to assess the losses including damages to residential house and deaths of cattle. He said that the report would be forwarded to the Divisional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner, Jammu for providing relief to the affected families.
He said that the government is aware of the problems of the people of the state who have suffered losses due to flash floods and heavy rains. He assured that every possible help will be extended for their rehabilitation. He also said that government is keen to address the concerns of flood victims on priority and the administration machinery is being geared up for timely redressal of the grievances of the people.
Among others, SDM Akhnoor, Sushma Chouhan, President Viklang Chatera Trust Akhnoor, Satpaul Saraf, BMO, Akhnoor, all sectoral officers and sarpanches and pacnhes were also present on the occasion.
