| Congress compromising national security for vote bank politics | | Terror Strikes Delhi | | Rustam
jammu, Sept 8: Terrorists once again struck Delhi. They caused massive explosion outside the Delhi High Court. On May 25 last also, the terrorists had caused an explosion in the premises of the Delhi High Court but that time the people were lucky as the terrorists failed to take away any life. But the September 7 Delhi barbarous terror strike took away at least 11 innocent lives and left more than 70 other injured. At least, 6 of the injured innocent civilians are struggling for their life in various hospitals. The scene outside the High Court was heart-rending with the family members and friends of those killed and injured in the ghastly terror attack condemning not just the terrorist-sponsored senseless onslaught on the humanity but also denouncing the Congress-led ineffective, incompetent, worthless, insensitive and even undesirable UPA Government. Such was the nature of their anger and why not?
Those who lost their precious lives and those who suffered injuries had committed no crime. They had simply gone to the court to seek justice or to defend themselves. Their only sin was that they didn't belong to the well-protected and fully secured political class. Their only crime was that they were poor Indians who could be killed by terrorists anytime and anywhere with utmost ease. It's no wonder then that the poor, unprotected and insecure Indians have lost faith in the dispensation handed down by the political class in general and the Congress party and the Congress-led government in particular. They have come to the conclusion, and very rightly, that the government is interested only in securing the lives of the VIPs and VVIPs and that it has nothing to do with all others or it has no concern for the general public.
The nature of their contempt, disgust, frustration and anger could be gauged from what the near and dear ones of those killed and injured in the ghastly terror attack in the heart of the Union capital did to Sonia Gandhi's son Rahul Gandhi, who sought to share the grief and agony of the affected people by visiting the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. The angry people raised slogans against him and other leaders and told them to leave the hospital, as also to leave them to the care of God and anarchy.
Remember, the uninspiring and high controversial Rahul Gandhi, who is dreaming of becoming Prime Minister of India, had told the American Ambassador sometime back that "Hindu terrorism was more dangerous than terrorism".
What again happened in the Union capital was destined to happen. Why because the Congress and outfits like the Congress have frustrated all the moves of the well-meaning persons in the establishment to enact an effective and moral producing anti-terror law. They have rendered our institutions weak and ineffective. Indeed, our institutions have become deadwood. The Congress and the outfits like the Congress have since the demise of Narasimha Rao opposed tooth and nail everyone who sought tough measures against terrorists and separatists. The Congress and similar other parties have been defeating the well-meaning moves with a view to securing their vote-bank and sending a message to the followers of a particular religion (read only those who have been indulging in terror activities to achieve the larger objective - jihad against the non-believers across the world) that their dispensation would not act against the terrorists or that they are free to do whatever they want to do subject to the condition that they would vote for the Congress. To be more precise, it is the appeasement policy of the Congress and similar other parties that have emboldened the terrorists, and even leaders like Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah, to undertake activities designed to give a particular type of orientation to the polity and create conditions conducive for another communal partition of the country. The fact is that the Congress and the outfits like the Congress are compromising national security for the sake of vote-bank politics. Former MP chief minister and Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh is the Congress' true face and everyone knows what he vomits day in and day out.
What was the response of our so-called Prime Minister? He described the attack as a cowardly attack and again sought to mislead and hoodwink the outraged Indian opinion by saying that all measures would be taken to nab the killers of humanity. Nobody is going to believe him. For, he has been making identical statements ever since the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
If the nation is to be protected against the terrorists, then it is essential that the parties like the Congress, which have outlived their utility and which have gone simply perverted, must be shown the door. India-under-attack needs a credible alternative and it appears that the concerned Indian nation would produce the required credible alternative. |
