| Get rid of `draconian' NC rule, Bhim tells Kashmiris | | | Early Times Report jammu, Sept 8: Chairman of National Panthers Party (NPP), Professor Bhim Singh has urged Kashmiris to get freedom from the `draconian rule' of National Conference abetted by the Congress party. This, according to him, shall be the greatest tribute to late Sher-e-Kashmir whose death anniversary was observed today. Bhim accused Dr Farooq and Omar Abdullah of betraying Sher-e-Kashmir's legacy. "Sher-e-Kashmir stood for non-violence and communal harmony. He prevented exodus of Pandits in 1947. He rejected Pakistan and opted for India. But his son and grandson are supporting secessionist elements. They have even challenged state's accession to Indian union", he said. Bhim said Sher-e-Kashmir called Congress workers `street insects' (worms of the gutter) but Omar Abdullah joined hands with them just to stay in power. He accused NC leadership of introducing and encouraging corruption in Jammu Kashmir. The Red Book speaks volumes about the heights of corruption which Sheikh Abdullah's family has touched in the past decades. He said that it was the NC leaders who provoked and instigated the Kashmiri Muslim youth to go to Pakistan for armed training. It was NC leadership which created the situation compelling Kashmiri Hindus to leave the Valley in disgust for the sake of their lives and honour. The National Conference after the death of Sheikh Mohdammad Abdullah turned mother of terrorism in JK that Sheikh Abdullah never allowed in his lifetime. |
