Udhampur Sep 9: In іtѕ continuous drive against thе drug peddlers, Udhampur Police today recovered 65 kgs of poppy straw and arrested two persons, involved in smuggling of drug
According to police, during routine checking on Dhar road, police recovered 65 kilograms Poppy Straw from an Esteem car bearing number PB10W/8792 during frisking .
Police arrested two persons identifed as Tarsem Lal son of Ganga Ram and Sukhvinder Lal son of Balvinder Chand both resident of Jallandhar (Punjab ) and booked them under section 8/15 NDPS act under FIR No. 209/2011 in Police Station Udhampur.
Both were carrying contraband from Kulgam to Punjab
District police has launched drive to end drug menace and police said that drive will continue till the menace of drug smuggling is put to an end.
