Employees call for 4-day strike from Sept 26

Srinagar Sept 9 (KNS): After failure of latest round of talks with the government, government employees have called statewide 4-day strike from September 26 ahead of Assembly session.
The employees have decided to hold dharna outside Legislative Assembly complex on September 29.
Meanwhile, sources told KNS that on the instructions of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Chief Secretary Madhav Lal will offer a new roadmap to the employees over the payment of arrears of sixth pay commission next week.
“In the backdrop of yesterday’s meeting the Chief Secretary has invited JCC leaders Abdul Qayoom Wani, Khurshid Aalam and other leaders again for fresh round of talks. The government will offer new roadmap to the employees in the meeting,” sources added.
Commissioner Secretary GAD, Mohammad Sayeed Khan told KNS that government had called employees leaders for today’s meeting to continue the negotiations.
