Student organizations protest over diverse issues

JAMMU, September 9: Students of Government MAM College today held a massive protest demonstration on New University Campus Road against JU authorities for delay in the re-evaluation result of undergraduate course and burnt the effigy of VC of JU. The protest was held under the leadership of Lucky Singh (NPSU Leader).
Students of MAM College, early in the morning gathered at the college premises and raised slogans against the JU authorities and lambasted them for delaying the re-evaluation result of undergraduate result later they burnt the effigy of VC of JU.
While addressing the Lucky Singh alleged that VC is totally non serious about the career of students and never pays any heed towards the genuine demands of the students community. He said that the JU authorities are playing with the career of thousands of students who are waiting for their re-evaluation result.
On 2nd consecutive day the students of various engineering colleges held a massive protest demonstration at Old GCET Campus under the leadership of Randhir Singh Charak, Lalit Raina, Aditya Hans, Javed Iqbal, Vikrant Sharma and Nispankh and took out a rally towards the every busy Canal Road where minor clash of students and police. These students were demanding the cancellation of notification issued by JU for the cancellation of supplementary exam of Engineering students.
Earlier the students of various engineering colleges gathered at Old GCET Campus, Jammu and held protest demonstration against the JU authorities who have issued a notification for the cancellation of supplementary examination of engineering students and strongly demanded for the cancellation of said notification.
Addressing the gathering Partap Singh Jamwal (Provincial President, NPSU) said that until and unless any responsible representative from the side of JU comes for talks, Dharna will not be lifted within no time a meeting of the students with the concerned authorities was organized by police official and one HOD who came on the spot to pacify the students and meeting was organized at Principal Office GCET Old Campus.
Principal GCET including other responsible officials assured the students community that their issue of the said notification will be positively resolved within a week or two.
Other who were present Anil Kumar, Bhanu Partap Singh, Sanjay Sharma, Rahul Raina, Inderjeet Singh, Surinder Verma, Sumit Sharma, Lovekesh Gondhi, Ishan Choudhary, Mukesh Bakshi, Mohit Sharma, Rahul etc.
