Narwal double murder case: HC directs trial court to decide Nalwa's bail application | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 09: High court judge, Justice Hasnain Massodi today directed the trial
court to dispose of the bail application of Narwal fruit mandi double murder accused
Ranjodh Singh alias Nalwa within seven days from the date the application was filed. The HC directive came in a petition filed by Nalwa who submitted that he proposed to
file bail application before the trial court so that the petitioner was in a position to get
himself admitted for medical treatment in AIIMS, New Delhi, or PGI, Chandigrah, on his
own cost. It was submitted that the petitioner irrespective of his status as undertrial had the right
to get the medical treatment of his choice and get himself treated at the health care
facility in which the petitioner had confidence. After considering the arguments his counsel, Justice Massodi observed that the trial
court having regard to the ground on which the bail application was proposed to be laid
should take all reasonable steps to dispose of the application within seven days from
the date the application is filed so that the petitioner could work out his remedy. Nalwa was alleged to be involved in the murder of Gurnam Singh and Rajinder Singh at
