PNB extends olive branch to Jagti residents | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 9: In its drive to provide banking facilities to 4000 Kashmiri Pandit displaced families at Jagti Township, Punjab National Bank (PNB) today opened accounts of 200 persons. In a simple function held at the township, Deputy General Manager, Circle Head J&K Operations Ashok Gupta, delivered pass books and ATM Cards to persons who were brought in the banking fold. Addressing the gathering, Gupta said that PNB shall open accounts of all those persons at its nearest branch at Nagrota. As a token of commitment to provide hassle free doorstep banking, PNB shall open an ATM at the Jagti Township, he added. Moreover, every account holder shall be provided debit card for withdrawal of money from his account which inter alia will give him a free accidental insurance cover of Rs. 2 Lakhs, Gupta informed. He added that apart from this, any deserving & meritorious student shall be provided hassle free education loan of Rs. 4 lakh without any collateral security or 3rd party guarantee. He requested township residents and public in the surrounding villages to make use of state of art facilities available at PNB Nagrota. Apart from opening the saving accounts, banking awareness especially about various Information Technology products like Debit Cards, Internet Banking, ATM Cards, any where any time banking were imparted to the township dwellers.
