PDP spokespersons tells youth to go through self-rule document | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 9: PDP spokesperson Nayeem Akhtar today welcomes hundreds of youth along with their representative Aabid Hussain Kapra from District Srinagar who joined PDP. In a press statement issued here, the party spokesperson has said that the move is in a positive direction. Nayeem Akhtar said that because of the suppressive policy of ruling government, our youth are suffocated, depressed and have lost hope. While addressing them at party headquarters, Nayeem Akhtar emphasized that they should go through the Self Rule document and read what PDPs ideology, vision and road map is for the self sustaining and progressive Jammu & Kashmir. On highlighting the economic potential of J&K, he said “We are self sufficient in terms of resources. We are rich in water sources and our water potential is to generate electricity of worth rupees 50,000 Crore annually. We don’t have to depend on financial aid of centre.” He said that self rule not only speaks of political solution but also seeks the road map and strategy of how to empower our state economically. J&K has a strategic location. “We have common borders with India, Pakistan and China and we can become a buffer state and a platform for the trade engagement between the three,” added Nayeem. He also said that opening of roads from all sides for trade and commerce was our main motive. Beside Nayeem Akhtar who spoke on the occasion include State Secretary Abdul Hamid Koshin, General Secretary Youth Nazir Ahmad Yatoo and District president Srinagar Jahangir Wani.
