Factory owner held for "forging" DC's signatures | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 09: Accused of faking signatures of deputy commissioner, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, a factory owner was today arrested by police. Himalayan gun factory owner Vinay Kumar, son of Roshan Lal of Trikuta Nagar, was today apprehended by Gangyal police after it was found that he had allegedly issued a letter with Verma's fake signatures, according to police sources. The letter was used to transport guns to Kanpur. He was booked under sections 420, 120-B, 471, 468 and 471 of RPC. Sources said the letter was seized from Verma's factory during a raid by Gangyal police on a specific information. The guns were carried to Kanpur for checking their firing range. The guns could be carried to Kanpur only after obtaining permission from the deputy commissioner. When police approached Verma, he said he had not issued any such certificate to Himalayan gun factory owner. |
