Delhi HC blast: 3-member NIA team reaches Kishtwar, scrutinizes cyber cafe record | College student detained as suspect | | Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar, Sept 9: After investigators probing into the Delhi high court blast traced the HUJI terror email to a cyber cafe in Kishtwar, a 3-member NIA team reached here today. The team was headed by Shiv Kumar Sharma. A cyber crime expert team of two DSPs and a sub-inspector from PTA, Udhampur, has also arrived here. After the email was traced to Kishtwar, police had detained owner of the cyber cafe along with manager Ashwani Kumar and sealed the shop. Police also detained late last night Shoaib Ahmad Sheikh, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh of Astanbhala here, a student of B A Part-I of government degree college, Kishtwar, as a suspect. Meanwhile, Imran Hussain, son of Mohammad Ashraf Sheikh, had been released from police custody as he turned out to be "innocent". According to sources, police, with the help of Ashwani, made two sketches of suspects. As soon members of NIA team reached here, they, along with senior police officers, Ashwani and suspects -- Ashiq Hussain and Shoiab Ahmed -- reached the cyber cafe and spent there some time. They also scrutinized the cyber cafe record.DIG Munish Sinha, who was also present in the town, refused to divulge the details, saying it was premature to say anything as the investigation was still on.He, however, said police had detained some suspects in connection with the terror email sent from Global Internet Cyber Cafe here. A senior police officer said the police investigation was on the right track. Sources said police were also likely to scrutinize the admission record of Kishtwar degree college and compare the two sketches of suspects with the photographs of students. |
