Ajatshatru inspects functioning of Ranbir Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya , Purmandal Temples | | | EARLY TIMES TIMES Jammu, Sep 10: Member Legislative Council and trustee Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust, M.K. Ajatshatru Singh today conducted daylong extensive tour of Birpur, Purmandal area of Samba district and took stock of development works undertaken by the Trust in temples and Shrine. At Birpur, he assessed functioning of Shri Ranbir Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, This high seat of Sanskrit learning and teaching was set up by Maharaja Ranbir Singh, grand forefather of M.K. Ajatshatru Singh who also constructed a number of the temples and shrines in and outside the State. He got constructed several temples in the periphery of pilgrimages at Purmandal and Utterbehani. MK Ajatshatru Singh visited all classrooms of the Sanskrit Mahavidayalaya and interacted with students. At the demand of students and teachers, Trustee on behalf of his son Kunwar Runvijay Singh announced to provide a colour television and fans for use in classroom. President, J&K Dharmarth Trust Thakur Divakar Singh and Secretary, Shashi Khajuria also joined inspection. Director Delhi Public School, S.S. Sodhi was also present. Later, Ajatshatru Singh gave a patient hearing to problems of faculty members of Institution. At Purmandal, he visited historical Shiv Temple. He took stock of the arrangement being made by the Trust for facilities of devotees. Singh further asked the staff posted for the purpose of looking after the management affairs of the temples to remain more active while rendering their duties and in this connection no dereliction will be tolerated.
