Gujjar Mahasabha protest, submits memorandum to DDC

Rajouri , Sep 10: Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha (ABGM) today held a protest demonstration outside DC office, Rajouri under the chairmanship of its president, Eshfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal pertaining to their long pending demands.
Earlier the activists of ABGM from all the blocks of the district Rajouri assembled at Children Park and discussed various problems being faced by the people.
After that the activists of the Mahasabha started moving towards the DC office in the shape of rally.
They were raising anti district administration slogans.
Addressing the gathering at DC office, Eshfaq-ur-Rehman said that the centrally sponsored scheme Indra Awas Yojna is not implemented in any part of the district and demanded implementation of the same.
He further said that they are not getting any information regarding RTI Act, which their activists have filed in the Govt. departments.
He demanded information about all the RTIs filed in the Govt. departments at the earliest. He also said that the road connectivity to Gujjar dominated areas was in dilapidated condition and urged the Government to start the stalled work on these roads for the benefit of the people particularly of Gujjar community.
A delegation of the ABGM met DC Rajouri and submitted a memorandum pertaining to their demands and in reply DC assured them that their demands will be redressed in the coming time.
DC also directed all the departments where the activists of AGBM had filed RTI, to provide information regarding all RTIs filed by the activists of ABGM at the earliest.
