| PNB presents cheque to CM for corpus of SEDI | | |  Jammu, Dec 4 Zonal Manager Punjab National Bank Jammu and Kashmir Zone Mr. Vivek Arya called on Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad here today and presented to him a cheque for Rs. 22.75 lakh as contribution of the bank to the corpus of State Entrepreneur Development Institute. Chief Minister appreciated the gesture of Punjab National Bank in contributing to the corpus of State Entrepreneur Development Institute. He impressed upon the management of the bank to set up its branches at tehsil level in Jammu and Kashmir and help in a big way in the socio-economic development of the state. Mr. Arya apprising Mr. Azad about profile of Punjab National Bank said that the bank has 68 branches in the state including the one set up at Leh recently. He said the bank is soon opening its branches in far-flung areas like Kargil, Kupwara, Kishtwar and Doda. He said it is also contemplating to set up its regional office at Srinagar shortly. Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma was present on the occasion. Chief Manager of the bank Mr. Ramzan Mohammad and District Coordinator Mr. A. K. Mota accompanied Mr. Arya. |
