Intra college debate competition held in RM college | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, September 10: R M College of Management and I T, Sainik Colony, organized a one day intra-college debate competition on the topic – “Can corruption be completely wiped out from our country or not?” on September 10. Chairman of the College, Rameshwar Mengi presided over the function. The programme started with the lighting of traditional lamp followed by the welcome address by Principal of the College, P K Dhar. R S Moza, H O D Department of Management and I T gave a short background of the programme and spoke about the topic related to corruption. Rita Mengi, Trustee of the College, P K Dhar, Principal of the college and Dinesh Singh Slathia, senior faculty member, were the respected judges on the occasion. Various students from both BBA & BCA wing expressed their views on the topic. Students from the parental organization, Shiksha Niketan also participated in the competition. Students of BCA and BBA part-1 also presented a skit named – “Bhrashtachar” during the programme. Presiding guest announced the results and gave away prizes to the winners and certificates to all the participants. Sahil Raina of BCA-2, Vikram Singh of BBA-1 and Tanya Chalotra of BBA-1, got the 1st, 2nd& 3rd positions respectively while Navneet Kour & Roshni Jetli from Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary School got consolation prizes. While speaking, Rameshwar Mengi congratulated the winners and encouraged all the participants. He also appreciated the department for organizing such programme for the betterment of the society. Ajay Verma, faculty member of Management and I T presented the vote of thanks while Mr. Ajaz Ahmed, faculty member and Tanya Chalotra, student of BBA-1 anchored the programme.
