| Jugal inaugurates women skill development training programme | | | Jammu, Dec 4 Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Mr. Jugal Kishore inaugurated Skill Development Training Programme in cutting and Tailoring at Reasi last evening. The programme envisages importing of training to 25 women of BPL group in tailoring skill. The programme has been organized by District Urban Development Agency Udhampur and is executed by NGO Internal Council of Welfare and Development. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Jugal Kishore highlighted the importance of organizing such programmes for training women to help them earn their independent remunerations. He said that “it is the need of hour that women especially belonging to BPL group should learn different skills and take up economic activities independently”. The Project Officer, DUDA Mr. Jaffar Abbass Bhat explained the aims and objectives of the training programme and said that during six months training on each beneficiary about Rs. 5000/- would be spent which has been enhanced from Rs. 2000 per candidate this year. He said agency would also provide loan to the tune of Rs. 10,000/- to each BPL youth and Rs. 30000 under PMRP for helping them to launch their income generation ventures. |
