| Congress in favour of releasing jailed youths: Soz | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Sept 11 (KNS): Terming the release of youths from jails as a welcome step Pradesh Congress Committee President Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz Sunday said that his party wasn’t in favour of keeping any person in jail without any reason.
Addressing Congress workers at party headquarters here Prof Soz said, “We are in favour of releasing arrested youths which will be a confidence building measure.”
However, when asked whether his party will support the resolution in Assembly regarding Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru, he declined to comment.
Prof Soz who was flanked by Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Taj Mohi-ud-Din and Education Minister Pirzada Mohammad Sayeed said that RTI was a big tool to combat the menace of corruption.
