| J&K Bank emerges champion, trounces Amity United in Final | | IIIrd Division North Zone National Football League 2006 | |

J&K Bank clinched the trophy by defeating Amity United, Haryana 2-1 goals in the most exiting and thrilling final of IIIrd Division North Zone National Football League Championship being played at Jammu University Football Field here today.
J&K Bank attacked the opponents in the first half of the match and scored two goals with the fine combination of Billal and Adil. Both the goals scored by Billal in the 20th and 33th minutes during the first half of the match by the fine passes of Adil. J&K Bank also missed the chance to goal in the 42nd minute of the match.
In the second half of the match, J&K Bank players played more defensive than Amity United. Onebbo Ogbonna from Amity United scored only goal for his team in the 65th minute of the match. Amity players attacked from both corners to score goal in the second half of the match but could break the defence of J&K Bank.
Players from both sides showed commitment towards game. The match was played during the slow showering of the rain.
Babu Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Youth Services and Sports was the chief guest on the occasion while Prof. Amitabh Mattoo, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Jammu University presided the prize distribution ceremony of the match.
Later on, Babu Singh distributed the prizes to the players.
