| Omar leaves for cold desert | | | JAMMU: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today ledft for 6-day tour of Ladakh by road. He will not be able to tweet till he returns, he informed in a tweet this morning.
Official sources said the Chief Minister headed to Drass and Kargil via road early sunday morning and after a night halt at one of the places the CM is expected to visit Zanskar during his week long visit of the Ladakh region.
Omar, who was present in New Delhi in connection with the meeting of the National Integration council, reached Srinagar early morning and after a brief halt headed straight to Drass and Kargil.
Before leaving for his six day long trip out of the summer capital Omar wrote on the micro blogging social networking site, "I can't believe its Sunday morning & I'm up at 4.30 to catch a flight. Off to Drass 'n Kargil today; Zanskar tomorrow. Will drive to Nubra & Leh before heading back in 6 days. May not be able to tweet till back".
In response to a tweet from one his follower and media friend Omar wrote,"actually it'll be hard work but well worth it. |
