| Various Sikh organizations condemn Taran Taran incident, | | Appeal people to maintain peace and harmony | |

To express the resentment and anger against the unfortunate incident that took place at Taran Taran yesterday, Various Sikh organizations today holds protest demonstration in Jammu at several places. At Nanak Nagar Gurdwara, large number of sikh youths held protest demonstration against the Shiv sena for allegedly burning down the effigy of Simranjeet Singh Maan, President, Akali Dal (Mann) at Taran Taran in Punjab. Akali Dal (Mann) state wing also condemned the incident and holds protest demonstration. They also advised the Shiv Sena to refrain against these sorts of activities.
An emergency meeting of Dashmesh Youth organization was held under the presidentship of S. Hardeep Singh at Digiana Gurdwara and took strong note on the happenings at Taran Taran between Shiv Sena and Akali Dal (Mann).and said that these incidents are against the nation and society will not be tolerated.
Akali Dal youth leader Manmohan Singh also appealed the sikh youths to maintain peace and advised Shiv Sena not to do anything which will provoke sikh youths, he added. Effigy of Shiv Sena Supremo Bal Thackeray, was also burnt in Jammu and other areas of Punjab.
