| Soz pays obeisance to Ahad Zargar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Sept 12: Saifuddin Soz MP (former Union Minister) & president J&K Pradesh Congress Committee visited Narwara (Srinagar) and paid obeisance at the grave of great classical poet Ahad Zargar.
Many literary personalities Rafiq Raaz, Zareef Ahmad Zareef, Deputy Commissioner Sringar Mehraj Ahmad Kakroo, Shameema Raina Vice President Mahila Congress, Abdul Gani Khan District President Srinagar and son of Late Ahad Zargar, Showket Ahmad Zargar were present.
Soz committed himself to provide funds for construction of community hall near the grave yards to make it possible for hundreds of devotees to assemble at the annual function of Ahad Zargar
He lamented that new general of scholars in the university, various colleges and schools know very little about their history and the poetry of masters like Ahad Zargar, Shamas Faqeer, Naima Sahib, Rehman Dar, Wahab Khar and others.
He also emphasized that it is not the fault of young generation of learners; but the fault of parents and teachers who do not make efforts to make the new generation of scholars to gain of their culture and history especially the lives and the contributions of masters in the literary field.
