| Dimple alleges acute water scarcity in his constituency | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Sep 12: Sunil Dimple president Jammu West Assembly Movement has urged the PHE minister Taj Mohideen Shah that the people of Jammu city and particularly the people of the residents of west constituency the localities of the Roop nagar, Pamposh Colony, Muthi, Janipur, Lakar Mandi ,Shanta Nagar, New Plot, Rehari, Sarwal, Jawahar Nagar, Tali Morh, Subash Nagar, Patoli, Paloura ,Krishna Nagar, Tallab Tillo, Bakshi Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Resham Ghar, Krishna Nagar, Bhagwati Nagar are facing acute scarcity of water for the 72 hours.
Sunil Dimple urged the PHE Minister Taj Mohideen that no tankers are being supplied to the needy localities where water supply is affected as the Chief Engineer B R Dogra has curtailed and shortened the Quota of diesel to the Tankers supplied from the Company Bag and to the tankers in rural areas also which has caused acute scarcity of the water for the needy persons.
Sunil Dimple has appealed the PHE minister Taj Mohideen and the Com/Secy PHE to look into the matter and hold the inquiry as the PHE depart is hell bent upon to kill the people due to thirst.
Dimple also took up matter with the Chief Engineer PHE, B R Dogra and the S E, PHE Luthra and registered a strong resentment that, no water supplied to 10 lac population of Jammu west assembly constituency for last 72 hours which has made a drought like situation.
He demanded the PHE Minister to provide water twice a day to the people of the Jammu city and his constituency. He demanded to expedite the pace of work, for starting the work on “ Chinab water supply water scheme” project and the strengthening the water supply schemes and infrastructure keeping in view the demand of the region.
Sunil Dimple further demanded from the PHE minister for the construction of three tube wells at Mother Teresa Tali Morh , dental hospital Amphalla and at New Plot PHE substation for the people of the constituency. He demanded a master plan for the replacement of the old 30 to 40 years old pipes of the Jammu city and in west constituency as all the pipes are over loaded with the connections and are in defunct state.
