PDP leaders visit Mohd Hanief’s house | ‘Demand investigation to punish the killers’ | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Sep 12: A delegation of senior PDP leaders and members visited the house of late Mohd Hanief a party worker at Sonawari district Bandipora to pay condolence to the deceased family. Mohd Hanief was allegedly murdered by a group of ruling NC goons even after police has been repeatedly requested to intervene and bring the ruling party activists under control. The delegation included Senior PDP leader and ex-minister Qazi Mohammad Afzal, Mohd Khalil Bandh, Abdul Haq Khan, Dr. Mohd Shafi, Peer Mohd Hussain, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Mohd Ashraf Mir, Abdul Hamid Koshin, Yasir Reshi and others.In a press statement issued here the Party members expressed deep sympathies with the bereaved family and demanded a thorough probe to look and investigate the case so that the culprits should be booked under law. In a press statement issued here the party members paid shimmering tributes to the soul for his proactive participation in doing public work. Describing him a noble soul, the party members said that we will never forget his dedication towards party. The Party members also expressed anguish over the continuous lawlessness in the State and failure of the ruling government to address the gross human rights violation. The delegation also said that it has been in the blood of NC government to suppress the voice of the people who speaks against the ‘anti-Kashmir-agenda’ of NC. The statement also added that the continuous harassments, arrests, torture, custodial killings and PSA’s are the tools of the ruling NC government to muzzle the voices of dissent and to show as if everything is normal here. Meanwhile, the General Secretary of PDP Mohammad Dilawar Mir, MLC Mohd Ashraf Mir and G N lone Hanjoora paid condolence over the demise of Mushtaq Ahmad Nengroo, son of Zonal President Charari-e-Sharief Abdul Rehman Nengroo resident of Shumnag.
