JKAGOEU extends support to EJAC, to observe 7 days strike | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep 12: J&K Advocate General Office Employees Union (JKAGOEU) has decided to observe 7 days strike with effect from September 24 in support of the strike call given by J&K Government Employees Joint Action Committee Jammu. A meeting was held today in the office complex under the chairmanship of Sanjay Abrol, president of the union wherein the decision to extend support to the EJAC was taken. In the meeting, it was decided that all the staff members will observe 7 days strike from September 24 to 30 in support of the strike call given by J&K Government Employees Joint Action Committee Jammu and not in support of JCC. While speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Abrol stated in the meeting that inspite of best efforts and a quite long time wait the government did not bother to concede the remaining demand s of the employees and also want the government to concede the just and genuine demands like announcement of revised for formula for release of arrears in 2-3 instalments, regularization of daily wagers, contractual and adhoc, implemental pay commission report and removal of pay anomalies of all cadres before 23rd of September 2011. Rakesh Sharma, Executive member of the union urged upon the state government to implement the 6th Pay commission report at the earliest as due to the increase in the prices of the essential commodities, employees of the state are facing great difficulties in meeting the day to day requirements. Prominent among others who attended the meeting were Autar Krishan Bhat, Gen. Secy, Rakesh Sharma, Ram Paul, Lal Mohammad, Parshotam lal, Sham Lal, Mushtaq Ahmed, Sunil Kumar, Narinder Singh, Tilak Raj, Anita Koul, Anju Koul, Mohini Kakroo and Manorma Kalposh.
