JAMMJU, September 12: General Secretary tehsil Thathri Development Front Om Raj Bhall urged PHE Minister, Health minister and MOS for power to personally look into the grievances of the people of tehsil Thathri, District Doda that the people of Sichal ,Joura Kalan and Joura Khurd have to travel 4 to 5 kms to fetch a bucket of water as the PHE Department has totally failed to maintain the water supply in these localities.
The people of Joura Kalan and Sichal had approached to PHE Minister one year back but their marked applications have been thrown in the dustbin by PHE Department Doda.
Bhall urged the state government to immediately redress the grievances of the people of tehsil Thathri. He said that for the last thirty years neither any further electrification nor water schemes have been implemented in the left over large areas. They demanded new health sub-centres for Sichal and Suranga.
They said, as far up gradation of health sub-Centre Joura Kalan to PHC is concerned , the favourable feasibility report from Director Health Services Jammu on the direction of then Divisional Commissioner Jammu is lying in the office of Secretary Health Department of J&K government for the last five years.
Health Minister has been apprised of this problem several times and the concerned M LA had also written to Health Minister about this demand, yet nothing has been done so far. They urged health minister to urgently look into the matter and do the needful immediately so that the poor people of rural area can also get a sigh of relief.
