Umar Farooq will fight with Ashok Rapheal in final in Senior Snooker in the ongoing 16th J&K State Billiards and Snooker Championship being played at Billiards Hall, M.A. Stadium today.
In the first semifinal played here, Umar defeated Vishal Abrol in net-to-net fight by 4-2 frames 28-70, 67-49, 52-47, 54-90, 68-19, 60-30. In the second semifinal, Ashok Rapheal beat Ishuk Chowdhary by 4-1 in one sided match. The frame score was 42-39, 13-56, 64-55, 87-59 and 69-29.
However, the Senior Billiards matches shall commence from December 5th.
The officials in the match were Surjit Singh, Shanker Dass and Rakesh.
The tournament is being organised by the J&K Billiards and Snooker Association and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
