| Inter-college boxing meet gets underway | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 12: Organised by the Department of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, the annual inter-college boxing tournament started today at MA Stadium, here.
There was healthy participation in this indoor competition as over 80 pugilists drawn from 11 different affiliated colleges of JU are competing for the top honours.
Besides city colleges, teams from Degree College Poonch, Degree College Udhampur, Degree College Bhaderwah and Akhnoor have turned up for the participation.
On the inaugural day of this two-day competition, initial rounds were completed by the organizers while the semifinals and finals shall be played tomorrow.
In an attempt to bring in fairness and transparency in the judgment, the organisers have engaged technical officials from the Army.
It is pertinent to mention here that last year the overall championship trophy was won by the Post Graduate Departments of JU,
