| Bail denied to 7 alleged Durga Nagar sex scam accused | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 12: Second additional sessions judge Subash C Gupta today rejected seven bail applications of the alleged accused in Durga Nagar Sex Scam. The bail applications were filed by Ashish Abrol, Pradeep Loria, Jasvinder Singh alias Titu, Pawan Kumar, Raman Gupta, Deepak Gupta and Surjeet Singh alias Sonu.
According to the police case, the matter was brought to the notice of Domana police station by the victim, a resident of Kishtwar, on May 26 last. She stated that she was brought here by Santosh Devi of her village who was putting up at Durga Nagar.Santosh had told her that she would solemnize her marriage with a handsome boy in Jammu.
But in Jammu, she was forced to have sex with different persons. On May 26, she had jumped from a motorcycle at Domana while she was being taken to some
unknown location. She had later gone to the nearby Domana police station and narrated the whole spisode.
She also allegedly told police that she was taken by different people to Dalhousie, Patnitop and Manali where she was raped.She was later got medically examined by police at government hospital, Sarwal. As per the opinion sought from a senior radiologist, her age was between 14 to 16 years.
As per the prosecuting story, the girl was pushed into prostitution allegedly by Santosh and her sister Saroj Devi.After hearing the counsels of the two sides, the judge made important observations
while rejecting the bail applications of the accused.
