| Mahajan stress for Aids awareness programme in rural area | | |
Jammu: Dec4 On the occasion of World Aids week, All India Rajiv Gandhi Brigade (AIRGB), state president, Rohit Mahajan, stresses for aids awareness programme in rural area and said that the increasing numbers of HIV cases in J&K state which almost touched the figure of 25000 are indicating the worst health hazards in the state and the hood of snake of aids should definitely crushed of that steps for prevention of spreading of this disease can be taken. This he said in a meeting at state office of AIRGB. He further said that AIRGB will organize awareness camp in rural and slum areas of J&K state and education camps for the awareness of this drastic disease will be held at every nook and corner of the state. He further said that AIRGB will check on funds sanctioned by the central government for HIV, Aids awareness programme and these funds will be uniformly distributed for the people of J&K so that every hospital, IDN, Dispensary and PNC will be given kits for the detection of HIV/AIDS virus at every urban and rural areas. Others who spoke on the occasion include Sanjeev Gupta, Tashwent Manhas and others.
