| State Badminton: Qualifying rounds held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Sept 13: A good number of young and senior shuttlers turned up for the qualifying rounds, day ahead of the State Badminton Championship at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
The qualifying rounds were held to give a chance to other left out shuttlers, who could not make it to the district teams.
“We organised qualifying rounds today to give chance to some more boys and girls, who otherwise could not make it to the district team considering their performance in the district championships,” said member of the organizing committee, Balbir Singh Jamwal.
Now, the championship will be formerly declared open by president of J&K Olympic Association (JKOA), Rangil Singh tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, the organizing committee held a meeting this evening for draw of lots and finalization of fixtures.
