sent to 5 days police remand

JAMMU, Sept 13: Special judge anti-corruption, Pawan Dev Kotwal today granted five
days police remand of CAPD assistant director Vijay Kumar Singh, tehsil supply officer

(TSO) Rashpal Ram and storekeeper Ramesh Chander in a case of misappropriation of

food grains worth Rs 1.05 cr.
They were arrested by crime branch of the state police yesterday. All of them were

posted at Udhampur when they had allegedly misappropriated the government ration.
They were alleged to have prepared fake receipts, cash books and challans for

transportation of food grains to far-flung Udhampur areas.
They had also allegedly faked the signatures of ration dealers.
