Bhim pleads for reorganization of J&K | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Sept 13: Bhim Singh, chairman, National Panthers Party met Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister this morning. He strongly pleaded with the Prime Minister that state of J&K needs to be reorganized by forging a workable confederation of the three regions namely Ladakh, Kashmir Valley and Jammu province. The Panthers Party chief pleaded that separation of legislative, administrative and financial fields for each region is the only way out for the mutual trust and equitable development of each region. He also urged the Prime Minister to convene a meeting of the representatives of state political parties with a view to work out a consensus on each issue. Bhim Singh has proposed to hold 3rd Intra J&K ‘Heart to Heart’ talks in November/December this year in New Delhi. The 3rd talks which were scheduled in the month of May this year were postponed because of ‘Osama episode’. Sardar Mohd. Abdul Qayyum Khan is the chairman of the intra J&K Heart to Heart Talks and has agreed to participate in the said talks. The talks shall be crucial as the status of LoC may be one of the items in the agenda. The Panthers Party chief strongly pleaded with the Prime Minister to connect Poonch and Kishtwar with Jammu Railway line in the interest of the people of the two far-flung and neglected areas. The Prime Minister appreciated the Panthers Party chief for his keen interest in the development of neglected areas of J&K. Bhim Singh also congratulated the Prime Minister for his successful visit to Bangladesh starting a new chapter in the bilateral relationship of the two countries. He said that the Prime Minister has laid the foundation stone of new waves of friendly relations with Bangladesh which will work beyond 21st century also. He also praised the Prime Minister to deal with the situation comfortable and amicably which was created following Anna Hazare fast at Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi.
