Niaz demands improvement in healthcare facilities | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT BHADERWAH, Sep 13: Former Minister and MLA Bhaderwah Mohammad Sharief Niaz has expressed his concern over and demanded for toning up healthcare facilities in Sub-District Hospitals in Bhaderwah and Gandoh. Niaz has expressed his anguish over the fate of SDH, Bhaderwah & Gandoh in which several posts of specialist Doctors which include Eye,Surgion, ENT and anthiest are laying vacant and general masses are suffering due to the non availability of Doctors. He said that time and again he had taken up the issue of filling up of more than 100 vacant posts of doctors and opening up of Health centres at Panchayat level in hilly and backward Doda district. He also demanded to tone up the blood bank in Bhaderwah Hospital. He said shortage of doctors in the hospital and dispensaries is worrisome and is resulting into loss of life and urged Sham Lal Sharma Health Minister to immediately post doctors against the vacant posts especially posting of lady doctors in the rural areas. Niaz has also appealed to Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad to intervene into the matter so that vacant posts of Doctors maybe filled under NHRM Scheme in Bhaderwah and Gandoh Sub District Hospital.
